USB keyboard with iPad 2

There are some external USB keyboard working with iPad 2. Only sometimes it does not work.I had plugged a USB keyboard in to the Apple camera connection adaptor. When the connector is placed in the iPad 2, there is an unsupported device notice on the iPad. And the keyboard works well.
