iPad automatic downloads not working

I have the latest iTunes version and an iPad 2 running iOS 4.3.3. When I tap Settings > Store on my iPad and try to turn on automatic downloads for music and apps by moving the slider from Off to On, the setting will not remain. Tried toggling account and reset, still not working.

To get the settings to stick, tap Settings > Store, sign out and sign in again. Worked for me.
